I am an ardent fan of Sachin Tendulkar. He is from the breed of players who inspires lives. People not just from cricketing background adore him but the community is limitless. His batting has been impeccable and arguably there is none better batsman in cricket history. However, it is not just his batting but the basic human attributes like attitude, sincerity and hard-working that makes him a universal figure.
The passion Sachin has for his sport ‘cricket’, the preparation process he goes through ‘before every encounter’ and the amount of patience he displays ‘in his games’ is commendable. I think these qualities of him made him the greatest person he is and achieve what were once impossible. We should take a leaf out of his book and start working on our P’s. Imagine, 20 years before, if you were told that there will be a player who could hit 100 international centuries in Cricket. What would be your expression? You would have made a mockery of it and replied “Not in one’s lifetime, it is impossible”. Well, that is what we can achieve, in our own existing lifetime, if we have our Passion, Preparation and Patience locked towards everything we do in our life. There are situations where I put myself into his shoes and try to emulate him in difficulties. Thanks to him, I never fail after that.
Sachin has been associated with many charity organizations. He’s been one of the highest tax-payer for some years now. He is always approachable to other players to share his invaluable thoughts. His life has been a controversy-free on and off the field so far. Even, after achieving myriad successes he still holds his ground firmly and carries the most honest smile on his face. If someone’s lacking an ideal person to look up-to, here is one up for grab: ‘Mr. Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar’.
